The key fob is a simple way to lock and unlock your vehicle from an extended distance. It can also activate your vehicle's panic button which can prevent burglaries.

If your device stops working, it can be fixed with some simple steps. Make sure that the battery is new. Then, remove it from the ignition by pressing the button to lock three times fast.

Battery

The simplest way to fix the battery of your key fob is to replace it. The device uses a small coin-shaped 3V battery (CR2032 or CR2025) which is typically easily found in general stores and home improvement stores, and a few auto parts stores. Use a brand new battery. Batteries that are old can damage the circuit boards and cease to be useful.
